At Lakeland Child Care, our child care programs are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s development at their own pace. Through consistent routines, caring relationships, and meaningful play-based learning, children feel secure, curious, and confident as they grow.
Lakeland Child Care offers full-day toddler and preschool programs. We are proud to be a CWELCC-participating child care provider at both of our Barrie locations, helping families access high-quality early learning at reduced fees.
Toddler Program
(1.5 – 2.5 years)
Our toddler program provides a warm, nurturing environment where young children feel safe to explore, move, and begin expressing themselves. Educators support early language development, social skills, and growing independence through play and daily routines.

Please note that program selection is a preference (not a guarantee), and in limited circumstances, children between 12 to 18 months may be considered within the toddler program, subject to availability and program considerations being reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Preschool Program
(2.5 – 4 years)
Our preschool program helps children develop confidence, curiosity, and strong early learning foundations as they prepare for the transition to school so that they are kindergarten ready. Learning is guided by children’s interests and supported through inquiry-based play.
